Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will entertain children at Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2016

This year Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards will have
two of the youngest and hottest stars performing for the kids. Varun
Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, who
made their debuts together in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, will
be present for this year’s edition, while the ever entertaining Manish
Paul will play the host. Last year, we had Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik
Roshan gracing the show.
Appearing at such an event for the first time, Varun Dhawan gave an official statement to the media about his decision to be a part of the show. He said, “These awards feel more special because the winner is clearly a favourite of the kids and also boosts our morale to do better and keep entertaining our audiences.” It also helps that Varun Dhawan is very popular with kids thanks to his entertaining roles in Main Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, ABCD 2, Dilwale and Dishoom, though his murderous role in Badlapur should be kept far away from any kid.
Like Varun, even Alia is quite popular with the kiddos. She is currently being featured in Dear Zindagi, where she has a starring role along with Shah Rukh Khan. Alia Bhatt is getting some rave reviews for the movie, and along with her performance in Udta Punjab, is definitely a front runner for all the Best Actress awards next year. She is yet to say anything about her participation in Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2016.
Manish Paul who is hosting the event, cannot contain his excitement about the whole venture. He said, “It’s a challenge to host live acts and even more challenging when it’s for kids because we need to be extra cautious of the gags and jokes we develop. I share a great bond with kids and it’s going to be a memorable experience.”
