Celebrated singer and rapper Raftaar is engaged! Sorry girls, but it’s true. Raftaar
aka Dilin Nair got engaged to Komal Vohra yesterday and it’s all over
his Snapchat and Twitter. The couple had a roka ceremony earlier this
year and they are all set to tie the knot this year. So it’s not just
Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding pictures to look forward to but
Raftaar too has joined bandwagon. The Instagram Love singer took to
Twitter to share the good news with fans. “ENGAGED,” he tweeted and
close friend and actress Sunny Leone couldn’t help but share her happy
thoughts on the same. “Congrats buddy!! Can’t wait to see the beauty who
said “yes” God Bless you both!!,” she tweeted.
“Komal and I met at a mutual friend’s residence five years ago and hit it off instantly. She has been very supportive and patient during my struggling phase. We decided to get married as I’m more settled in my career,” Raftaar was quoted saying to a leading daily. The ceremonies have already begun with a satsang on November 26, followed by sangeet, mehendi and a dhol night. A surprise performance by the 28-year old musician in which he will sing all his ladylove’s favourite songs, including “Raabta”, “Samjhawan” and “Sniper”, is also in order, states the report. The Whistle Baja singer will be wearing sherwanis designed by his friend Mayur Kataria for all the ceremonies.
For all those who want to know more about Raftaar’s bride-to-be, Komal is an interior designer running her own company. Her elder brother, Karan, plays the male lead in Zee TV’s Zindagi Ki Mahek, while the younger one, Kunal, is a part of the popular TV show Brahmarakshas.
The wedding which is all set to be held on December 1 is going to be a private affair with only close friends and relatives being a part of it. “We are keeping the wedding in Delhi. “We are only inviting very close family members and very few friends of mine from the industry will also be present. But it won’t be a big affair,” Raftaar said. Congratulations, you two!
