CONFIRMED! Deepika Padukone to star in Vin Diesel’s ‘XXX’ franchise
Jamshedpur Actress Deepika Padukone
had hinted that she is starring in Vin Diesel’s next “XXX”
franchise “Xander Cage Returns” by posting a picture with the
Hollywood star and now a popular daily confirms the news.
In the photo, posted in her social media pages, the 29-year-old actress is seen hugging Diesel in the backdrop of the logo of the movie franchise “XXX”.
“Vin Diesel,” Deepika posted on Facebook. There were reports that Deepika had turned down Diesel’s “Fast and Furious 7” to accommodate dates for her 2014 release “Happy New Year”.
Deepika’s manager Anirban Blah also posted the photo on his Facebook page and wrote a congratulatory message above it: “Am so so proud of this girl. What an announcement… What a journey it has been!!”
A source told Deccan Chronicle, “The night after the success party of ‘Tamasha’, Deepika flew to America for a meeting with Hollywood star Vin Diesel. No wonder, Ranveer Singh is still promoting his next release alone! But who knew Deepika would suprise everybody with this photograph! It is a big achievement for her and she is finishing all formalities in America. She is returning to India tomorrow night.”
“XXX”, a 2002 American action film directed by Rob Cohen, starred, starred Diesel as Xander Cage, a thrill seeking extreme sports enthusiast, stuntman and rebellious athlete-turned-reluctant spy for the national security agency.
Asia Argento, Samuel L Jackson, and Marton Csokas also played pivotal roles in the movie.
