Yuvraj Singh touches Sachin Tendulkar’s feet after Mumbai Indians-Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2016 match

Perhaps it takes an Indian fan who traced the length of Sachin's career to understand the significance of the sole proprietor of 100 International tons in his country.

Yuvraj Singh-Sachin Tendulkar01

Yuvraj  Singh paid his tribute to Sachin Tendulkar by touching the Master Blaster’s feet at the end of the Mumbai Indians-Sunrisers Hyderabad game. Sunrisers had notched up a massive win — defeating the defending champions by 85 runs — to rise to the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) standings. What was one of the highlights after the game was Yuvi touching Sachin’s feet. In terms of gratitude, there is nothing to beat Yuvraj Singh. There are others from the Indian side who look at the Indian batting legend with the demigod status that he enjoys from the Indian public.
On a personal note, Yuvraj made a strong comeback. The southpaw missed a majority of the IPL so far due to injury but his comeback to his third side in as many years has only turned out to be beneficial for the side. The Sunrisers have risen to the top of the pile, and are looking like one of the teams to beat in the tournament. Yuvraj Singh had a jittery start with the bat but soon setted in and was looking like his vintage self, smashing the ball to all parts and helping his team get to a big score.
Yuvraj Singh-Sachin Tendulkar
As for the gesture, Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar have shown some emotions that have touched one’s heart strings. In an exhibition match at Lord’s in 2014, the 35-year-old touched Sachin’s feet, immediately after being dismissed by the latter. That was during the game. For every Indian Cricket faithful, the image of Sachin giving Yuvraj a tight hug and breaking into tears is one that’s for the archives. We are talking about the celebrations that sparked off after India winning World Cup 2011. Kane Williamson is looking away in the photo. Perhaps it takes an Indian fan who traced the length of Sachin’s career to understand the significance of the sole proprietor of 100 International tons in his country.
