Did Sumona Chakravarti irk Shraddha Kapoor in The Kapil Sharma Show?

Oh well, sometimes being funny comes at the cost of hurting someone’s feelings and that’s exactly what happened in The Kapil Sharma Show. Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Chetan Bhagat appeared in the show to promote their upcoming film, Half Girlfriend. Both, Arjun and Shraddha, were laughing uncontrollably at Kapil and the other casts’ jokes. In fact, there was a moment when Arjun actually rolled on the floor laughing. Well, looks like their laughter was short-lived. After Kiku Sharda’s bit was Sumona Chakravarti’s turn. The comedian was trying to flirt with Kapil and getting the cast, too, to help her out.
When joking about the kind of boyfriend Kapil should and shouldn’t be, Sumona takes Shakti Kapoor’s name (referring to those old Shakti Kapoor jokes, of course!) which takes Shraddha really off-guard. Clearly the actress wasn’t prepared for this and immediately asked Sumona what she means by that. Sumona tactfully changed the topic and carried on with her Kapil bashing but Shraddha seemed rather gloomy throughout Sumona’s segment. The actress who was laughing her heart out right from the beginning was only forcing a smile throughout the segment. But the actress, like a sport, continued with the show rather than throwing a fit.
Kapil did make sure that she laughed her heart out again in the later segments of the show. But it was evident that Sumona had ticked Shraddha off with her comment on Shraddha’s father. Arjun found it difficult to not laugh and was seen walking around the stage laughing. He even rolled on the floor laughing when Kapil kind of insulted Sumona, as a part of the act. Arjun also had a dance face off with a Bihari guy as he plays one in the film and man, that was some energy he showed there!
Well, the jokes weren’t a complete laugh fest but it definitely was quite entertaining to see the actor laugh like crazy. Coming back to the Shraddha bit, what are your thoughts on it? Tell us in the comments below and stay hooked with us for more.
