What! Alia Bhatt was mistaken for Shraddha Kapoor?
Today is Bollywood’s favourite director’s birthday.
He’s charming, talented and one of the most popular faces of Bollywood.
He is one of those rare filmmakers who encourage and promotes younger
talent. Of course, we are talking about Karan Johar. As a treat for his fans, Alia Bhatt
hosted a QnA with them and let them ask whatever they wanted. She
opened Karan’s Facebook LIVE with a dynamic introduction of the
filmmaker, very Karan johar style! But apart from Karan giving out major
secrets, Alia herself was in a tell-all mood. On the live chat, she
actually revealed that she was mistaken by a fan for Shraddha Kapoor! Yeah, believe that because she said it!
She also narrated an incident to confirm this surprising confession- A random fan came up to the her and told her she was very good in Half Girlfriend. Alia then confessed that it wasn’t her in Half Girlfriend. But then the fan still praised her and left. Karan also went on to praise the film and clarified that Alia wasn’t in it. In a world where actress and actors are embarrassed about mistaken identities, Alia goes on to reveal this incident unflinchingly. She played quite the sport and squashed all rumours of any sort of rivalry. But this is not the first time an actor has been mistaken for somebody else. In the past, Ranveer Singh revealed how many fans would mistake him for Ranbir Kapoor. And the best part, he has been nice to even his (Ranbir’s) fans! Gone are those days when celebrities would try to cover up these mistakes, the Gen X just believe in having a good laugh over it.
Talking about Karan’s birthday bash, the party begins at 9pm. It’s going to be a crazy get together with 128 people. The who’s who is expected to turn up and it’s going to be grand as always.
