Shah Rukh Khan reveals he was the one who named Smriti Irani’s step-daughter, Shanelle!
Smriti Irani's husband Zubin is Shah Rukh Khan's childhood friend
Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles, Smriti Irani,
might have recently joined Instagram but she seems to enjoying it
thoroughly. After hitting headlines for putting an old picture with Ekta
Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, she has now shared a throwback picture of her
beautiful step-daughter Shanelle Irani. Smriti captioned the picture
as, “#familyphoto some one is being missed sorely @shanelleirani.”
Much to everyone’s surprise, Shah Rukh Khan shared the picture and revealed that he was the one to name the girl Shanelle. The 51-year-old actor wrote, “My childhood friend Zubin’s daughter all grown up and so pretty… and just for the record I named her Shanelle.” Smriti commented on the picture, “#memories #family #friends Best kept secret out, she continues to make us proud.” Wow! Now that was indeed one well kept secret! We wonder how did we not get to know of this connection before.
Shah Rukh knows Iranian businessman Zubin Irani, Smriti’s husband, since childhood. The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor got married to Zubin in 2001. This was Zubin’s second marriage. He was earlier married to Mona. Shanelle is Mona and Zubin’s daughter but is now looked after Smriti and Zubin. The 51-year-old is also mother to her own son Zohr and daughter Zoish.
