Amitabh Bachchan’s argument with Thugs Of Hindostan director lasted three hours before Aamir Khan intervened?

Creative differences are commonplace in an industry that runs on the collaborative efforts of several talented professionals. And when you have perfectionists like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan on the sets, ideas sure must bounce off the walls. While it is always a delight to have inputs to make a project better, sometimes it can cause issues, especially if two people don’t share the same vision. Which is what seemed to have happened on the sets of Thugs Of Hindostan.

If a Mid-Day report is to be believed, Amitabh Bachchan got into an argument with the film’s director, Vijay Krishna Acharya, over a particular scene that they were shooting. This, apparently, led to a delay of about three hours before Aamir intervened and the shoot resumed. A source was quoted in the report as saying, “The veteran actor is taking such a keen interest in the film, that he even got into an argument with Acharya on how a particular scene must be shot. The shooting was stalled for three hours before Aamir played peacemaker and got the unit to resume.” Reportedly, the Dangal actor even cracked a joke or two to lighten the situation.
The report further states how the actors often have sessions with the director, discussing how he wants a particular scene to be filmed and to better understand his vision of the film. When you are trying to give it your best shot, arguments are only natural and completely unavoidable. However, the filmmaker, when contacted by the tabloid, denied reports of an argument completely. Praising Big B for his acting talent and professionalism, he said, “There is no truth to this. He is a delight to work with and is extremely professional. We are having a great time while filming this project. We share a warm rapport, so, I’m shocked at this disrespectful speculation.”
Well, whatever the case may be, we are glad that the ambitious YashRaj Films’ venture has brought together the best minds of Bollywood to work on a project. And we can barely contain our excitement over the pirate film that is slated to release next year.
