Jamshedpur Jennifer Winget is open to the idea of falling in love again
Mumbai: Television’s popular
face Jennifer Winget will now appear on the big screen in a film called
'Phir Se' opposite director-turned-actor Kunal Kohli. The film revolves
around the life of a couple that has separated.
Incidentally,
Jennifer’s personal life too, until recently was grabbing headlines for
her split from Karan Singh Grover who she married in 2012. The actress
says that she has personally moved on since the separation. “I am not in
touch with Karan anymore, but I wish him the best always.” Ask her if
she’s open to the idea of falling in love again and she says, “I haven’t
closed any doors. I have just opened a new one. Let’s see where this
takes me. I don’t really plan so much in life.”
Coming
back to the film, Jennifer tells us that it was all finalised in 48
hours. “It all actually happened very quickly, within a matter of two
days. I got a call from Kunal one day regarding this film, so I went and
met him. He narrated the script to me and I was bowled over. Believe it
or not, that’s all that happened. We completed the formalities in the
next two days and it was done. I gave no audition. But I think that
after he signed me, he checked my work on television just to make sure
if he’s made the right decision,” she says in jest.
So
what was the shoot like? Any particular memories, we ask. “There are
many instances in the film that I could relate to, so that helped me
understand the scenes better. I anyway like spontaneity and can’t really
plan before a scene,” she says. Elaborating on one scene in particular
she continues, “It was a scene that Kunal, Sumona (Chakravarti) and I
were shooting in an amusement park that was closed to the public for a
few hours. So we had the entire place to ourselves and it was like going
back to childhood. It was also a very cold day and the entire unit was
freezing, but that didn’t stop us from having fun.”
