Demonetisation is giving a tough time to everyone. C’mon who likes to stand in queues for hours? But it seems to have brought the classes and masses in one line – and Anil Kapoor is one such example. The actor stood in an ATM line to take out some cash and took selfies with a few fans while he waited. For all those who have been fans of the actor and have been wanting to meet him, there couldn’t really be a better way than this! Haha. So cool!
Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrapped Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in an effort to curb black money. And ever since then the entire nation is in a fix. Because getting money out of an ATM is getting pretty tough with each passing day. Don’t you agree? Anil on Thursday took to Twitter, where he re-tweeted a photograph of himself with two female fans. The actor is seen sporting a cap and gray t-shirt under a black jacket while waiting for his turn. “Taking selfies in an ATM line: check…Thanks to DeMonetisation, I get to meet you lovely people,” Anil tweeted. 
On the work front, the 59-year-old actor will soon be seen in director Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan. The film which also stars Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty in key roles is all set to release next year. Arjun and Anil share an interesting rapport and the duo shared a couple of pictures announcing Mubarakan’s release date.

Move over Alia Bhatt’s Koffee With Karan season 5 appearance alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The actress got a complete image makeover thanks to SRK. Alia beat Shah Rukh in the GK round. Now many may argue that Karan Johar was trying to resurrect his protege image after tarnishing it in the last season. Well, we aren’t complaining coz this little babe is a powerhouse of talent and she’s did pretty well in our rapid fire round. Alia was quizzed who in her opinion was a better actor between Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. Now one would think that the actress would play it safe, but she gave us her pick without batting an eyelid. The bindaas Bhatt gal named Sonakshi. We bet that Shraddha will not take to this too kindly, not when a comment like this comes from your immediate competition.
Now while Shraddha and Sonakshi didn’t get Alia nervous we probed her who amongst Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan was a better actor. That was a googly and Alia did not want to pick between her two co-stars from Student Of The Year. She just let that one pass. We’re sure that the actress wouldn’t want to miff her two besties, right?
But then Alia Bhatt was also quizzed about Aamir Khan recommending her for Thugs Of Hindostan and all she could manage was blush. The actress however spoke of working with Salman Khan. Alia revealed that she does not want to share screen space with Salman, but sing with him. Now that is something really nice, isn’t it?

Alia Bhatt defeats Priyanka Chopra at the box office – here’s how

With 44 cr in 6 days, Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi has beaten Priyanka Chopra's Jai Gangajaal's lifetime collection which released early this year.

Alia Bhatt is on a rise. If Udta Punjab cemented our belief in her acting skills, Dear Zindagi has made her one of the bankable actresses of Bollywood. And now she is on a victory prowl. She has been triumphing over all other actresses this year and the latest victim to her victory is Priyanka Chopra. Yes, with 44 cr in 6 days, the film has beaten PC’s Jai Gangajaal lifetime collection which released early this year.
Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers of DZ saying, “#DearZindagi Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 12.50 cr, Mon 4.25 cr, Tue 4 cr, Wed 3.25 cr. Total: ₹ 44 cr. India biz.” You can see that the film has been consistent. Despite noticing a huge drop after first Sunday, the film has stood its ground and earned 44 cr so far. Priyanka’s cop act wrapped up at much lesser number than that. It had earned in all its runtime a meagre 32. 63 crore. Now that’s a huge deal.
Alia Bhatt had a great year. First Kapoor & Sons got good numbers at the box office where her role may not have been as generous as Fawad Khan or Sidharth Malhotra but it was still impactful. Then came Udta Punjab which was just mind blowing. It isn’t easy to play the character of a woman who has been ravaged by men at every step. You have to show a certain mindset while doing the film. Her performance sent shivers down our spine. It’s unbelievable how she managed to pull it off. Now in Dear Zindagi, she mirrored our life and fears so effortlessly that we felt every bit of her emotion. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan has a huge hand in getting those numbers but you cannot deny it was an out and out Alia Bhatt film. She didn’t even falter in the presence of such a superstar.
And now she has even trumped Priyanka Chopra. Latter had just one release this year which managed to break even. But when you have PC in a film, you expect big numbers. That didn’t happen and Alia walked past her with ease. Guess people have chosen their favourite actress and it definitely is Alia Bhatt.

Deepika Padukone’s father REACTS to Ranveer Singh calling his daughter ‘marriage material’

As father, I have given Deepika the freedom to take her own decisions. Even in this case, she is free to decide whatever she wants to do.” Quite a sorted reply, don’t you think so?
Not to mention, it was during Filmfare Awards 2015 when we first got to see Deepika and Ranveer’s ‘Meet The Parents’ moment. Remember how both the families had shared the same row, by sitting right beside each other? Probably, the families are still pretty open to Deepika and Ranveer’s relationship despite the breakup rumours. And any which ways, which relationship doesn’t go through ups and downs?
The last we saw Deepika and Ranveer together was during the Ambani bash where they quashed all the breakup rumours by walking hand in hand. Following which, they even took off to Dubai together for an awards show where word is that the couple just couldn’t stop their PDA with Ranveer even kissing on Deepika’s forehead before going onstage to receive his award.

As we all know, Katrina was reportedly the makers’ first choice for the screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s book Half Girlfriend, not Shraddha Kapoor. Yes that’s right Mohit Suri who is the director of Half Girlfriend was keen on casting Katrina opposite Arjun Kapoor. Wouldn’t they have looked fab together? Also Arjun shares a great rapport with Kat. Remember AK exclusively revealed to BollywoodLife that he and Kat are great buddies and  that they still chat on Blackberry messenger. But of course that didn’t happen. So, what was the reaosn?
As per senior journalist Rajeev Masand’s column, “Mohit had his heart set on casting Katrina in this love story adapted from the Chetan Bhagat bestseller. But Katrina, who reportedly liked the script, recommended that he cast another actress because she felt her “screen age” could hurt the film”. Yep!
According to the column, Katrina who has done number of projects with relatively older actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan is aware that she is perceived as older than her actual age and certainly older than the actors who joined movies after her namely Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor and the like. Many felt her pairing with both Aditya Roy Kapoor in Fitoor and Sidharth Malhotra in Baar Baar Dekho was unconvincing and lopsided for this very reason. However Mohit was touched by her thought and moved on to Shraddha Kapoor. The shooting of the film is now completed and will release early next year.
All we can say Kat is, before denying you could have checked Arjun and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chemistry in Ki & Ka? Personally I feel you should have taken the film.
