Bigg Boss 11: Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta’s showdown was expected, says Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai co-star Aasif Sheikh

While we have had people with past history on Bigg Boss, no one ever began fighting right from the inaugural episode. Or should we say, no one dared to fight before Salman Khan, the show’s host. But Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta broke this tradition when they started off in front of him. The lady came dressed as Angoori Bhabhi, her popular character from Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. They did not hesitate to tell Salman their woes with Shilpa saying how Vikas had wrongfully ousted her from the channel and sabotaged her career. Not one to mince words, Vikas said that she demanded pay hike within two months and signed a show with another channel despite having an exclusive contract. He said that such behaviour would not be pardoned.
The ruckus extended to the next episode when Shilpa Shinde was seen telling other inmates how Vikas got her thrown out of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. While a few seemed to be interested, soap stars avoided the conversation. Vikas, when he walked in, heard this and put forth Shilpa’s apparent unprofessional conduct in no uncertain terms. He also called her a psycho on the show and mentally retarded. After Bigg Boss 11, &TV’s Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain seemed to be getting maximum publicity.
Bollywood Life got in touch with veteran Aashif Sheikh who plays Vibhuti on the show. He said, “I have not seen any episode so far. My father is unwell and I have been attending to him. However, I have heard that Shilpa and Vikas are inside the house and Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain is being discussed.” Did he expect such a fight? “When Vikas and Shilpa are under a roof, you can’t expect anything else but a showdown,” he clarifies. And what does he think about the publicity for BGPH? “Our show is doing good, which is what matters. Publicity is publicity whether it is good or bad,” he signs off.
