Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor’s explosive pay-packages will make you pray for a better bonus this Diwali
As today happens to be a day of Goddess Laxmi, it is all about the money, honey
It is Diwali – the festival of lights! On this day,
people worship goddess Lakshmi, also known as the Goddess of wealth, to
provide them with prosperity and success!
As today happens to be a day of Goddess Laxmi, it is all about the money, honey. So we sat down and chalked out approximately how much dhan do some of the biggest names in the younger generation of Bollywood earn! Though each film’s fee depends upon the actor’s previous film’s business, it is a lump-sum amount that we have got from our reliable trade sources!
Here’s the list of actors and the moolah that they earn:
Ranbir Kapoor (Rs 15-18 crore)
Though his past few films may not have performed that well at the box office, Kapoor still manages to earn the maximum compared to the other stars from the younger lot. He earns a whopping Rs 15-18 crore a film. However, if trade sources are to be believed, the actor is charging less for Dutt biopic as he has also got into the profit sharing deal with the producers.
Varun Dhawan (Rs 12-15 crore)
He is undoubtedly one of the most bankable stars from the younger generation currently. With Judwaa 2 hitting the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide, it only goes on to add to Varun’s hold at the box office. With his current position, Varun Dhawan is up on the list as he charges a whopping Rs 12-15 crore per film. However, when it comes to Shoojit Sircar’s October, the actor is taking less money. But Varun has upped his fee for Yash Raj Film’s Sui Dhaaga opposite Anushka Sharma.
Shahid Kapoor (Rs 10-12 crore)
After having a stellar 2016, this year started on a dull note for Shahid Kapoor. But with Padmavati up his sleeve, it surely will end on a bright note. According to trade experts, Shahid, who has been in the industry for almost 15 years now, charges somewhere between Rs 10 to 12 crore per film.
Ranveer Singh (Rs 8-12 crore)
The versatile actor may have debuted only in 2010, but his career graph has been amazing. In a span of seven years, Ranveer Singh has proved his mettle at the ticket windows and earns Rs 8-12 crore per film. With his growing stardom, the actor has also ventured into profit sharing and for Padmavati he would be doing the same!
Sushant Singh Rajput (Rs 5-7 crore)
Television’s heartthrob, who made a smooth transition into films, is slowly and steadily making his place in Bollywood. In terms of money, Sushant earns around Rs 5-7 crore per film.
Arjun Kapoor (Rs 5-7 crore)
Arjun, who debuted five years ago with Ishaqzaade, is in the same range as Sushant. The actor earns around Rs 5-7 crore a film and currently has movies like Arjun Aur Pinky Faraar, Namastey Canada in his kitty.
Sidharth Malhotra (Rs 3-5 crore)
Sidharth may have debuted with Varun Dhawan in 2012, but his credibility is yet to be proved at the box office. With his last two films – Baar Baar Dekho and A Gentleman being disasters at the ticket windows, his standing seems to have dwindled a bit. Sid charges Rs 3-5 crore per film and is currently gearing up for the release of Ittefaq now. He also has Aiyaary in his kitty.
Ayushmann Khurrana (Rs 3-5 crore)
After his debut in 2012 with Vicky Donor, Ayushmann failed to make a mark for himself at the box office as all his films failed. It was only with Dum Laga Ke Haisha that the actor bounced back in the scene. And though Meri Pyaari Bindu, Bareily Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan didn’t fare exceptionally at the box office, it did great for Ayushmann, who earns approximately between Rs 3-5 crore per film.
Tiger Shroff (Rs 3-5 crore)
Despite a great debut and a successful second film, Tiger hasn’t managed to get a hold at the box office. His last two films – A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael failed miserably at the ticket window, bringing the actor in the range of Rs 3-5 crore. For Baaghi 2, we hear Shroff is making Rs 7 crore.
