Deepika Padukone spills the beans on her cameo in the Shah Rukh Khan-Aanand L Rai film

We are eagerly waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s next film, which is being directed by Aanand L Rai. The yet untitled movie will feature SRK playing the role of a dwarf. Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif play the female leads, marking their reunion after Jab Tak Hai Jaan. A few days ago, news broke that they won’t be the only actresses in the film. In fact many actresses have been approached for a cameo appearances in the film including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukerji, Karisma Kapoor, Sridevi and Kajol. Maybe this is going to be something like Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om or Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi? Well, while time will reveale exact details about what are these cameos are going to be about, Deepika has spilled some beans already.
While talking, in an interview with a media channel, Deepika revealed, “It’s a cameo and it was fun. Shah Rukh just called me up and said that they wanted to do something special and it happened. And I believe that if the heart is in the right place and just call took place. Literally, he just called me and I think in a couple of days we shot. It was such a fun. None of us felt like we were working. It was like a couple of friends catching up.”
Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram a few days ago and shared one picture with few of the ladies from the sets. From the small glimpse of it, the set up looked like that of a party. So maybe in the film we will see the characters attending a Bollywood party. As per a report by DNA, most of the actors are playing themselves in their cameos.
