Katrina Kaif will be next seen in Anurag Basu’s detective comedy, Jagga Jasoos. She will be seen essaying the role of Shruti, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the titular role. We are loving the insanely quirky and clumsy Shruti in the trailers and songs of the upcoming film. Director Anurag has managed to show us a side of Katrina that we almost were unaware of. Her capability of being the charming weirdo seems to be showcased beautifully in Jagga Jasoos. While Ranbir and Anurag have previously worked together in Barfi!, this is the first time that the filmmaker has teamed up with the gorgeous actress. Umm…almost!
Do you remember the supernatural thriller, Saaya? If you don’t, we won’t blame you. Not even the trailer of the film is available on YouTube. During his early years in Bollywood, Anurag had made Saaya with John Abraham, Tara Sharma and Mahima Chaudhary playing key roles. The underrated movie had John haunted by his dead doctor wife, who was trying to speak to him through the dead, and wants him to meet at the place where she died. Eerie to the core, this movie had Tara play the ghostly wife.

Well, you’d be surprised to know that Katrina was the first choice to play this role.  In fact the actress was going to make her Bollywood debut with this one. Katrina even shot for two days on the sets of Saaya, but makers found her performance to be underwhelming. She was shown the exit door, and Tara Sharma was brought in, which is pretty much like replacing paneer with tofu.


Mahesh Bhatt, Saaya’s producer, has even stated in an interview that he found Katrina’s performance to be inconsistent.

Katrina went on to debut with Boom, which tanked just as badly as Saaya.

After Saaho, Prabhas to work with Prabhudeva?

Baahubali 2 has given us one more man to crush hard on…Prabhas! The simplicity of this man has caught every girl’s attention and with the way the film performed at the box office, it is for sure that Prabhas has arrived in Bollywood as well without even featuring in a Hindi film. Mind you, the Hindi version of the film alone had earned Rs 500 crore! So yeah, he is the next big thing in Bollywood. Everyone is eagerly waiting for his Hindi debut, which we think will be late because Prabhas presently is shooting for Saaho and apparently his next film will be a Prabhudeva venture. Yes, that’s what he will do if a DC report is to be believed.
Quoting the director, Deccan Chronicle reported, “Prabhas is a dear friend. I’ve known him from the time he set foot in Tamil-Telugu cinema. In fact, he sportingly did a cameo appearance in my Hindi film, Action Jackson. I’d love to direct him. But, it’s definitely not just because Baahubali has happened. There’s no point in doing a film together just because it makes business. I have been thinking of a film with Prabhas for a while now. Right now, he’s busy with his next Telugu film Saaho, post which we will do our film together.” There you go! It’s cool that Prabhas will have so many films because we want to see him on screen more and more. 
We were the first ones to tell you that Prabhas will be sporting a new look for Saaho. A source had told us, “Prabhas will not be getting rid of his facial hair. In fact, in Saaho he will still have his moustache and stubble. The shoot will commence soon and all his well wishers will be happy when they see Prabhas’ new look.” Aren’t you damn excited for both the films now?

Tubelight box office: Salman Khan’s film fails to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees but manages to defeat Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil – Here’s how

Even though Salman Khan’s Tubelight is flickering at the box office, the film has managed to defeat the first week collections of Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. While Tubelight made Rs 106.86 crore in 7 days, Jolly LLB 2 made only Rs 77.71 crore and Kaabil raked in Rs 82.18 crore. However, it failed to beat Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees, which had made Rs 118.36 crore in the first week of its release.
After an average opening and weekend, Tubelight failed to cash in on the festival of Eid and since then it has been a downhill road for the Salman Khan-starrer. The major reason for its under-performance at the box office can be credited to the largely negative reviews and thumbs down from the audience. So much so that even his die-hard fans were left disappointed.
Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, tweeted about the box office collection, “#Tubelight has been rejected. Post Eid festivities, the biz went downhill [especially on Wed and Thu]. Day-wise data follows. #Tubelight Fri Rs 21.15 crore, Sat Rs 21.17 crore, Sun Rs 22.45 crore, Mon Rs 19.09 crore [Eid], Tue Rs 12 crore, Wed Rs 6.50 crore, Thu Rs 4.50 crore. Total: Rs 106.86 crore. India biz.” 
Going by its collections, chances are bleak that the film will be able to beat the overall collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, which is Rs 137.51 crore, which is highest this year, so far. Of course if we are only talking about “Bollywood” film releases and not dubbed South Indian films (Baahubali 2: The Conclusion).
Having said that, Tubelight is not Salman’s slowest Rs 100 crore earner. While Tubelight entered the Rs 100 crore club in 7 days, Jai Ho, that released back in 2014, had taken 10 days to achieve the feat.

Her makeup and hair game comprised of pink lips, nude eyes, defined eyebrows and accentuated cheekbones, with her hair, open in loose waves. Meanwhile, Arjun has donned a classic Burberry suit and flaunts well-groomed hair and a sleek beard.

Easy on the eyes, despite being in sparkly separates, Athiya Shetty’s hair and makeup are certainly on point courtesy makeup artist Polly Osmond and hair stylist Olivier Schawalder. Arjun, too, adds a subtle charm to the picture with his dapper demeanour and a look that’s certain to make his female fans go weak in the knees.
Doling out a demure-yet-classic picture with Arjun in a suit and Athiya in a shiny red ensemble, this edition is certainly worth grabbing, not just for its visual appeal but also for those candid Bollywood disclosures. Mubarakan, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz in pivotal roles, is slated to release on July 28.

Despite the debacle of his last release Baar Baar Dekho, Sidharth Malhotra still has some very interesting movies in hand, one of which is Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary. The movie which is scheduled to release in January 2018 has Sidharth Malhotra playing a military intelligence officer while National award winner Manoj Bajpayee will play his mentor. Now as per the official handle of the movie, they have also found another leading star for the movie, who could be Sidharth’s character’s love interest. Rakul Preet Singh is finalised to play the third player in the movie. She is playing an IT employee in the movie.

A source associated with the film told Mumbai Mirror, “Rakul Preet plays an IT professional, who is Sidharth’s love interest in the film, which is based on real-life events while Sidharth plays an army officer. After a brief break following the Kashmir schedule, the team will resume filming in Delhi.”
Rakul is quite a popular star down South especially in Telugu cinema. However, she had made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Yaariyan, known for its songs like Blue Hai Paani Paani and Baarish.
Talking about the movie, Sidharth Malhotra had said to DNA, “I am really excited to announce this new project with Neeraj. Neeraj’s films have always been inspired from true events and I have admired his films from the beginning as he is a content-driven director with an amazing story-telling ability. Aiyaary is also based on a story of true events and I am thrilled to venture into this new role of espionage and military intelligence with him.”

Priyanka Chopra‘s live-action Hollywood debut Baywatch may not have turned out the way she was hoping it to be, the actress has moved on to her next international film, A Kid Like Jake. While juggling between her work in Hollywood films, TV series Quantico and her Bollywood assignments, her singing career took a backseat. Talking about that to DNA, she said, “It went down the drain. I got really tied up, and when Quantico happened, I wasn’t prepared for it. Nobody expected it to run into so many episodes. We started with just 13 episodes and it blew up, so a lot of my time was spent in doing Seasons 1 and 2 of the show and Baywatch. Before that, Bajirao Mastani and Jai Gangaajal were happening at the same time. I was caught up with all my acting projects, so I couldn’t do music at that time.” 
Priyanka Chopra, who successfully churned out singles like, In My City and Exotic, where she collaborated with will.i.am. and Pitbull respectively, and I Can’t Make You Love Me being her last release. When she was asked who else she’d wish to collaborate with for her next she said, “In America, Beyonce. I think she is amazing and a suave performer. I admire her.” 
When she was asked about Anoushka Shankar’s comments where she said international artistes are looking forward to collaborating with Indians because they have realised we are extremely talented, she said, “Of course, that’s true. It’s been happening for years in movies. Most American studios — Warner Brothers, Fox, etc, have set up here since six-seven years. That’s an old, famous mandate. We have technicians and writers coming down and working with us because we’re the biggest movie producing industry in the world. If you include regional films, we make about 900 movies a year. Our movies transcend borders. No other country can boast of something like that. In terms of business, India makes so much sense. The music industry is also realising that.”

Sidharth Malhotra doesn’t understand the concept of arranged marriages

Sidharth Malhotra is one of the most eligible bachelors of Bollywood. Even though his name is often linked to Alia Bhatt or sometimes to Jacqueline Fernandes as well, he has never really confirmed his relationship status. While talking to HT, when he was asked about where he sees himself in five years from now, he said, “I definitely see myself continuing to act — doing different kinds of roles and working in different genres.”
It was then he was also asked if he’ll be married by then, “Well… I don’t know. My mum would be happy [if that happens]. Marriage is something I have not planned for yet. No offense, but I don’t get the whole concept of arranged marriage. I’d rather know the person who I’ll settle down with. But if I had to put a cap on it, maybe I will get hitched in my 30s.” 
He is 32, which means he’ll be marrying in next eight years, according to this statement of his.
He also spoke about his plans of turning into a producer or director, “I think that will happen. We are all storytellers. I would like to inspire people and tell more stories. I would never refuse a film or do a film for a certain amount of money. If there is a story I can contribute to by being a producer, and then I will 100% tell that story. So, definitely, a few years from now, I’d like to back stories as a producer.” 
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will next be seen in A Gentlemen alongside Jacqueline Fernandes. Apart from that he’ll be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Ittefaq, alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna.

Shah Rukh Khan is NOT a brand ambassador of the portal that is under CBI scanner

Earlier today it was reported that a case has been filed against Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui for being the brand ambassador of a portal Addsbook.com of Ghaziabad-based Webwork Trade Links. Which has come under CBI scanner for duping people using the two actors as brand ambassadors.
However, BollywoodLife has learnt from a source close to Shah Rukh Khan that he is not the brand ambassador of the said portal, only Nawazuddin Siddiqui is.
Earlier a report had stated how a case has been filed against the two actors. Promoters of Webwork Trade Links, Anurag Jain and Sandesh Verma, duped people using the two actors as brand ambassadors of his shadow firm addsbook.com , the complaint alleged. According to the complaint, which is now part of the FIR, the company opened a “shadow company”, Addsbook Marketing Pvt, which was launched on December 10, 2016 with brand ambassadors “Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shahrukh Khan”. “People have invested heavily as they were influenced by both celebrities,” it alleged.
However, the actors are not mentioned as either accused or suspects by the Uttar Pradesh Police, which had probed the matter earlier.  Jain and Verma allegedly took money from people luring them with lucrative payments for every click on advertisements on their website, the complaint said. 
According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, which was probing the matter, Garg and Sudesh offered membership to more than four lakh people in four months for the click and earn plan. It is alleged that they collected over Rs 500 crore from around two lakh people, police had said.
The CBI, on directives of the Allahabad High Court, has taken over investigation in the matter and re-registered the FIR against Jain and Verma for alleged cheating and violation of the Information Technology Act.
Whenever the CBI takes over the investigation from a state police, it re-registers the same FIR which was filed by the state police. The final report in the case may be completely different.
Now that it is clear that Shah Rukh Khan has nothing to do with the said scam and brand, let’s see what Nawaz has to say.

Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishaan Khattar were spotted coming out of a special screening of Hollywood film Baby Driver. While Ishaan was dressed in grey from top to bottom, Jhanvi donned a blue denim and a white top.
This is not the first time the duo are spotted together, earlier as well they were spotted at the movie screening of Priyanka Chopra‘s Hollywood debut Baywatch happening in the city tonight. That time both entered in the same car and were accompanied by a friend. 

Earlier we had reported how Shahid gave Ishaan a strict warning to avoid being snapped with Jhanvi more often because he’s afraid the link – up rumours might affect his career. Moreover, he’s just started with his acting career so Sasha wants everything to be in Ishaan’s favour at least for now. According to a report in mid -day, the Udta Punjab actor recently had a heart to heart conversation with his younger brother warning him to keep his personal life discreet so that it doesn’t take the focus away from his debut film – Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds. but if these pictures are anything to go by, Ishaan seems to have totally ignored his older brother’s advice. 
For the uninitiated, Jhanvi Kapoor will be making her acting debut with Ishaan Khattar in the remake Hollywood hit, The Fault In Our Stars. According to Mumbai Mirror, the duo have already started with the look test for the film. The movie will be directed by Shashank Khaitan! And will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production.
Though we are still awaiting an official confirmation from Karan Johar and Dharma Production.

Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned in promoting his first film as a producer, the musical-adventure Jagga Jasoos. Just yesterday, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were spotted on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. They were there to promote their film Jagga Jasoos. And now, today Ranbir Kapoor was spotted on the sets of Sabse Bada Kalakar, a show judged by Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. However, unlike yesterday Katrina Kaif was missing from the scene.
While the reason of Katrina’s absence is not known, Ranbir Kapoor sure had a lot of fun on the sets. Dressed in black leather jacket, army green tee and black denim, Ranbir was looking dapper. In the pics, he can be seen dancing with Johnny Lever’s daughter Jamie Lever. Looks like they are enacting a scene from Rishi Kapoor’s Nagina.
He was also seen cracking a joke with Raveena Tandon as she was trying to a click a selfie with him.
And the best of the lot was the group pic with all the three judges, where he is seen giving a peck on the cheek of Boman Irani.

Jagga Jasoos is Ranbir Kapoor’s second collaboration with director Anurag Basu after Barfi. The music of the film is composed by Pritam, and the songs Ullu Ka Pattha, Jhumritalaiya and Galti Se Mistake are already chartbusters. Saswata Chatterjee, Saurabh Shukla and Sayani Gupta are also a part of the supporting cast, with Govinda having a cameo.

Just yesterday Soha Ali Khan uploaded few pics from her baby shower ceremony little did she know that this harmless act of her would alert the trolls. Brace yourself because the reason she was trolled was the fact that she was wearing a Saree. Yes! A SAREE!. She captioned the image, “It isn’t a party without balloons ! @khemster2”
People on her Twitter as well as Instagram account started trolling her and called her non-Muslim and alleged that she has turned into a Hindu etc. etc.
While one troll wrote: “Dislike Soha Ali khan. Wdf image wearing . I swear she’s not a Muslim ! Can’t even say it’s Eid,”
another one said: “Inko sharm aati hai eid likhne me shame on you soha ali khan you r not a muslim.” 
However, a lot of her fans stood up for her as one user wrote: “So what you wanted her to wear.. It’s India and in every Indian state culture I’d different.. She is free to wear whatever her wish.. And Saree is Indian traditional clothing,” and another one said: “Bengali Muslims dress up like this… I think she’s allowed to wear what she wants.”
