Colors Premieres Historical Epic ‘Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat’

JAMSHEDPUR  — Chronicling the life of the boy who went on to become one of the greatest emperor in the history of India, Aap Ka Colors premiered “Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat” Feb. 2. The show was launched at ND Studios in Karjat near Mumbai recently. Siddharth Nigam plays Ashoka in this epic historical, which is produced by Contiloe Productions. Raj Nayak, the CEO of the channel, said, “Our aim is to take the Indian audience beyond the confines of history books to narrate the tale of emperor Ashoka for the first time on television.” The show has been shot in various exotic locales across the country. A mammoth set reminiscent of that era has been put together at ND Studios, Karjat by two Omung Kumar and Nitin Desai. The opulent Mauryan era will be brought alive also with the use of VFX technology. Tej Sapru, Suzanne Bernert, Sumit Kaul, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Manoj Joshi, Ankita Sharma and Pallavi Subhash are also in the cast.
